Not really. It's a known fact that while the Hive may be the most vocal on ATRL we are outnumbered. There's no shame in that. There are other forums that are more fair and have more Hive members. It's also a known fact that many Katy and Rhi fans do not like the Hive so a lot of biased fans just vote against Beyonce. Doesn't change a whole lot considering our receipts and how close the poll is anyway.

The underlined shows popularity overall, but doesn't really speak to it being remembered today. We could name plenty of songs that have outsold both CIL and Toxic but today are not remembered, for example.
The bolded has no relevance to it being a remembered song.
The italics is very subjective and since there are more CIL imitations than Toxic ones, it's hard to claim that Toxic impacted the climate of music. It's a pop song but didn't really do much new sonically.

Britney's early radio hits were found on Jive/Zomba. When Sony acquired Jive, Britney was under a blacklist and none of her songs had strong radioplay whatsoever. "Toxic" was a digital smash and actually outdid itself in sales as to what it received in airplay. "Crazy In Love" sold less at the time and had more airplay. How can you argue that "Toxic" wasn't organic and CiL was?
