it had plenty of promo and the song was -imo- radiofriendly
You could say because of the somewhat weird lyrics, but so had applause and that still was a moderate hit

I'm getting anxiety thinking about gaga getting pregnant and canceling LG5 and not hearing about her for years

I had this aesthetic how the LG5 album cover is one big alarm clock and Gaga is in it with a weird pose but normal outfit and hair. The glass of the clock is broken and her legs are popping out while she is lying on the one side looking sad. The whole theme for the album would be about putting past, present and future together into one embrio of endless possibilites of time and space and how we can listen to the album at any time, because it will be our only chance to do it. The album would be once in a lifetime experience, followed by the release of an App and a whole new collection of watches and alarm clocks. Gaga will be working hard on new technology which will make the audio of the CD automatically delete itself after one listen/for digital download too. #TheClockIsTicking #LG5.

It was one of the worst single choices from the album. I knew it was gonna flop the moment it was announced, and the video just sealed the fate.

It starts out wayyyy too slow to be radio friendly. It's like a dirge at first and it only picks up speed/energy throughout the song. I could see people immediately changing stations when they hear "I'm gonnnnnna marrrrryyyyyyy theeeee niiiighhttttttttttttttttttttttttt......... I won't give upppppppp on myyyyyy liiiiiiiiiifeeeeeeeeeeeeeee........"

I love MTN to death but I think it was a poor single choice for that reason.

I hope she becomes more adventurous with her tour setlists like Bey and Madonna who are constantly doing mashups and elements of other artists' songs to keep it fresh.

Gurl what. N this is Gaga we're talking abt. Even if she does this won't the older generation be turned off by this. I don't think gaga cares much about techonology compared to Troy. nnn. I absolutely love the album cover idea tho

She shouldn't go into the watch community tbh. They are a hard community to break into. Fragrances are far easier. She'll flop unless she sells automatics. Alarms clocks are tacky too.

Personally I feel like the album will lyrically have a "Vengeance" Theme. The vampire tweet haunts me. Maybe a few Taylor love songs in there.

Marry The Night did not flop. I believe it's certified gold in the U.S. (700k copies I think) + silver in the UK (200k) and it actually felt like a hit (at least in my country where it was played regularly on the radio).

It did well. G.U.Y is a flop, Marry The Night is not.
