It was inevitable that SM would give steer Taeyeon towards the ballad sound. I don't know why y'all are so surprised

There was always a chance of her delivering ballads like Divine, Time Machine, Lost In Love, etc.

But she is really going for the K-Drama genre.

Korean producers have this problem where their production is not always polished, and some go the generic route with choruses.

As for Wiggle Wiggle, it reminds me of Danja more than anything.

? I'd say KPop productions are VERY polished and well-packaged on average. Even nugu groups get productions that are glossy enough for any of the established ones.

I doubt Max could create something better than Red or Ice Cream, and even his clout in the west wouldn't guarantee a hypothetical MM-produced Hyuna song to chart any better than a much cheaper song penned by a Korean producer.

Two fading groups, not sure what to think of this poll.

I can't believe the Queens have taken over and are in the finals against the Beyhive! #PoorOurFaves
It's making me like T-ara more knowing they have a dedicated fanbase… it's the one thing I've wanted from my groups.

Cause it's not like they're one of if not the biggest K-Pop group in China right now even without any proper Chinese material released
