Wrong. They are the most public providers of abortions. Many private physicians (often catering only to the wealthy) perform abortions.

It is very clear they are primarily in the abortion business and should not get tax payer money when they make most of their money from abortions. They don't give free Abortions they cost on average around $500. Based on the videos, I hope the candidates keep hammering at their funding and redirect that money to open more Community Heath Centers that will cover 100% of the districts.

A 2012/2013 poll had her leading current Illinois Republican Senator Mark Kirk by about a ten percent gap. Something like 51-40. There's also been rumors of her wanting to take Dianne Feinstein's seat in 2018.

Why would they stay home, they are conservatives and pissed off. He would lose 1/2 of them if he ran as Independent. Which he won't do regardless of all the talk.

You don't just declare I am running Independent

The amount of work and money it would take for him to get on the ballot in all 50 states would be staggering. Each state requires a recognized political party to be on their ballot. If he wants to run green, which is in 17-18 states he would have to meet each states party leader and convince them to allow him on their ballot, it would take months and I don't think they would all agree. Even if they did what about the remaining states? So if he made his own party, Trump Independent let's say, he would have to hire and fan out a massive organization to gather the signatures of enough people, per states requirements, to get on their ballot. Some states are easy, some are very hard.

He would have to be hands on with this and it is estimated it could cost around 300 million for the effort alone. When he filed his returns he only claimed about 350 million in liquid assets. Running as 3rd party would wipe out his cash supply and force him to raise funds.

Then there is the timing issue, the longer he waits the more impossible it becomes to get on all the ballots. This is common sense right, I should not have to explain this part.

The worst part for him? He would not be able to fly around and be on TV all the time because he would be to busy meeting with officials at the state level and dealing with his organization. This is why you can't wait until now to decide you are going to run Independent. The RNC will likely sue him to block access to states, it happens, the DNC did it to Nader. He would lose access to all debates as well.

He is not stupid, he will think of this from a business point of view and to run 3rd party and lose while spending close to 1/2 billion dollars of his own money is not a good business decision.

Obviously the numbers are off but the contrast is essentially correct. Liberal Progressives support a nanny state and Conservatives don't. The administrative fees are big government and spreading his wealth around.

The media is pissing me off, because literally all any of them have been saying about Bernie is he can't win, he won't win the nom, he's unelectable etc.

It's frustrating because it becomes a self fulfilled prophecy. If people don't think he can win, they won't vote for him. The media's bias against him is pretty clear. At least he seems to do well in blogs and social media. Maybe people will start taking him seriously with the debates and he get's more publicity.

Yeah this seems pretty true. The one major detraction from Bernie is that most of the general public doesn't know who he is since he isn't receiving enough major funding to buy press coverage.

Hopefully, his campaign finds some way to circumvent this issue.

It's way too early to be worried about that. Bernie will get name recognition in due time.

I swing depending on the candidates. This cycle Bernie is the candidate that has struck the biggest chord with me.

I'm also half-British and I strongly believe in the Scandinavian systems, because I've witnessed first hand how well they work. Maybe they can't be adapted to a population of the size of the US, but the current system sure isn't working so we might as well try something different.

With that said, my best friend is a staunch Republican so I don't believe in letting someone's different beliefs reflect as an attack on my own. My best friend and I disagree fundamentally with each other on many, many issues but we always agree to respect each other and respectfully debate our stances.

Then we would have to decimate our military and maybe we would have enough money; if we could clean up the waste and corruption. Applying a system that works for countries with less than 10 million people to a country with 320+ million just won't work.

I have plenty of Liberal friends, I am actually working with one right now as I type this, well he is an employee but still my friend. He will be the first person to admit that the media / Hollywood is totally Liberal with the few exceptions; Fox and AM talk radio.

I just told him the Liberals are doing to Bernie what Fox tried to do to Trump and he said, "The media did the same to Hillary in '08, they turned on her for Obama. Maybe it's payback time"

I don't agree, I think they will turn on Hillary again if given a path. realistically that path isn't Bernie. I have posted in this thread before when his name first came up, nice guy, says what he means and does not spin, but he is a socialist and will never win the general.

I also said and I still believe the best chance is Elizabeth Warren.

Or we could just cut out the loop holes in our tax code....secondly people thought obama was too liberal. People have changed and the general electorate is much more liberal than the midterm electorate and pretty much every conservative currently running has said something that would make an independent think they arent ready to govern.
