I think people associate him too much with the AP era and all the various bad memories it encompasses. He's done some great tracks, and I'd definitely rather have him back than Zedd or Madeon. Regardless, he'll likely be back in a reduced form since Gaga tends to follow a pattern with her producers.

I'm worried that she's going to pull those OTT vocals out for the next album. I like that she's expressive, but she loses all subtlety when she does that. She conveys so much more with the way she sings certain turns of phrases - like the bridge during DWUW when she sings "I'd fall apart if you break my heart." Something about the way she phrased that just conveyed sadness so perfectly. It's not a big show boat-y moment, but it feels real.
