Only in the US. Everywhere else, it peaked high and stayed high for many weeks. If you're gonna judge a song that's released internationally, judge it from that standpoint.
It's like calling "When Love Takes Over" a flop overall because it bombed in the US.
I guess. But "WLTO" is dominating everywhere but here. "LSM" didn't really make a huge impact anywhere. I guess "moderate hit" is the right term.
"Obsessed" & "Love Sex Magic" can't be called "FLOPS" just because they didn't last. Maybe "underpeformers", "fast burners" or even "LITE flops" but just plain "FLOPS" ? No. Because we all know some are UNFORTUNATE to even TOUCH the Top 10, Top 20 or Top 100 of the Billboard Hot 100.
Why do people act like every song of hers MUST go to #1 in order to be a hit.
I swear, if Obsessed peaked at #2, people would be calling it a flop.
No, it's not that. #2 would be fine but people would still be disappointed because everyone wants Mariah to go #1 again. But #11 IS really bad and you know that. And Obsessed's performance on iTunes proved that the song is a flop.
