Coven was the best up until the end; the last 2 episodes brought it down, and were really, really bad because of plot holes and poorly wrapping things up and destroying development that was made in the first 11 videos.

Asylum should be the best, by default, because it's the only season to fully wrap things up in a good way and have a complete story arc throughout. It also was just plain amazing.

Murder House was kind of average for me. I loved it, but it pales in comparison to Asylum and Coven.

Freak Show, however... Was a roller coaster, and a bad one. It had great shining moments (Episodes 8-10, which were all FANTASTIC), but then terrible ones, too (episodes 11-13). It lacked coherence, plot, creativity, good writing, and just about anything you need for a good TV show. Also has some of the worst acting in the show's history (Emma as Maggie, Gabourey Sidibe as Regina Ross, and Neil Patrick Harris' shoehorned role).

you're ranking is trash if you think Coven is the best season

the show is called American HORROR story
Coven was the most comedic season by far...nothing even slightly sinister or dark to it
but it's clear why Coven would be your favorite because it was very "diva"

the season finale of Freakshow is the best finale of the entire series...with "Orphan" being the best episode

I don't think anyone's actresses career has fallen as hard as Wionna's. Creepiness aside Heathers, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, Girl interrupted and the episode of Friends she makes out with Jensus are all classics (also Black Swan but she was barely in that).
