I remember in HS one year I straight up didn't do my summer reading. We were supposed to pick a book to read and write an essay on it and I literally just did not do it and somehow it didn't affect my grade all that much nn
I agree. Everyone in there discusses the same old topics and just uses that thread to use tired nicknames someone who hasn't logged on in 5 years came up with.

This is my first year doing it. The past years, it didn't effect me or I just did an alternative assignment or whatever.
But now I have an AP class for Literature, so. Finishing up my essay due today rn.
Speaking of bull******** class assignments in middle school we had a project where we had to compare different brands of a product and test them out to see which one was best or w/e. We were given like a month to do it and I ended up making up a study about testing the dryness of different brands of crackers or something literally the night before and got a 90 on it fff

I ignore most of the mundane conversation topics (Katy vs. Gaga, anything Taylor-related, chart positions) and end up talking to myself most of the time.
i'm in a creative writing class this year and one of our asignments is to do a 45 minute presentation to the class on a topic we're interested in. i'm trying real hard to not make it too gay but i really want my presentation to be on janet jackson

I had a project like that too. I compared different bubblegum brands and said which one made the biggest bubbles like i was so dumb ahdjsj. I did it scientifically I guess and while I bs'ed it all, I got a 95 because the teacher loved my decorations on my display board. I gave her a piece of gum too of the "biggest bubble", her bubble was so small and exploded in her eye she had to take the rest of the day off to get it out her eye
