Why are we getting the charts on sundays and why aren't we getting the singles sales anymore? For months we haven't got single sales.

The latter, cuz Billboard is lazy and/or doesn't want everyone to know how tragic sales are. Usually they pop up in some form or other, just not in the Main Update.

Couple of weeks back the "global release date" for singles and albums was introduced. Now all over the world new music is released Fridays. Tracking week for the Billboard charts is now Friday - Thursday. Billboard 200 is coming Sunday or Monday and Hot 100 article is coming Monday. The full charts are updated Tuesday.

We haven't gotten single sales from Billboard since the Billboard 200 change from pure album sales to album equivalent units back in November. Nobody knows why not, but HDD still posts the digital top 10 on Thursday I believe and those numbers are, not like the album sales, official Soundscan numbers.

In July, release date for songs/albums changed from Monday/Tuesday to Friday (and globally), thus Billboard shifted their dates to coincide with that change.

Billboard will report a few sales here and there. And I beleive HDD still gives the top ten digital songs sales every Wednesday or so.
