Before Prue died, they made Charmed the Prue Show. Then they added Cole and suddenly Prue became this superpowered blackbelt to rival Phoebe. Then she died and it became the Piper show. They kind of breezed through the whole "Paige feels awkward joining another family in her twenties" thing in favor of Piper the super witch and leader. That's the only thing that really doesn't sit well with me. The writers couldn't find a way to distribute the attention evenly. I would have loved Prue had she not been treated like the only capable sister. Then the same for Piper. I guess I'm a sucker for underdogs but Phoebe and Paige >>> Especially Phoebe, the most underrated witch of all time.

Seriously? The show ws basically ruined and overtaken with them trying to make Pheobe's stupid ass biological clock relevant.

Was Prue's death justified? Especially to her character.

During the end of season two she trained getting even more stronger and using her power to boost her fighting skills being even better than Phoebe.

In the episode "Seven Deadly Sins" She was shown to think of herself as invincible and unstoppable with her pride infection but in reality she was the weakest of the group. It was because of her pride that got her killed.

In "All Hell Breaks Loose" She pushed Dr. Griffiths out of the way and was murdered.

Even tho i hated when Shannen left her death always made sense to me. Do some of you agree?

Umm there were episodes where she was deemed as powerless in season 3. "Death Take A Halliwell" comes to mind where she couldn't battle death. She really struggled with that.

Also, the episode where Piper got married she was suppressing the feeling of carrying the burden for the other two sisters since Piper was getting married and Phoebe went back to school. She had to create an astral version of herself to let loose and forget her responsibilities.

It's kinda sad when you think about it considering her fate.

No regrets. Truly a masterpiece. Even with the tragic special effects (still pretty amazing for its time).

Also, I never liked Prue that much because her power made Piper and Phoebe seem weak/less capable. The dynamic with Paige took the show to another level.

I loved this show so much. Watching it right now feels... weird?
Phoebe was my favorite sister until she got obsessed with finding a man. That ruined her character.
Piper was always cool, her personality and powers were the best.
Paige was great at times and tiring at others.
Prue was good too, but too bossy for my taste.

For me, S3 remains the best!

When it comes down to it the reason Prue died is because Shannon wanted out. That cliff hanger was set up open ended to allow her to comeback but her contract was up and the whole crew was done with her and Alyssa's beef. Spelling's bad blood with her probably also pushed it over the edge and so when it came down to either her or me he was more willing to let Shannon go. Not that any one really knows for sure.

At the end of it I think that it wasn't an issue of pride. That was her vice but I think that episode was to show that she overcome it. I think if we were meant to take anything from her death and storyline througout the season it's that Prue gave up a lot for her sisters and ultimately she ended up giving her life for them as well. It was kind of fitting for her storyline. She repeats the motif in the comics as well where she ends up giving her powers for Paige.

So I've been trying to do some categorising based on the sister's talents.

So Piper was the best at making potions. It's been mentioned many times in the show and commented on by Paige and Phoebe. Among her greatest feats were creating potions that mimic her own powers. A skill she learned from her culinary skills and also from Grams who taught her things subtly growing up and wrote most of the potions in the books and was considered the best potions maker of the whole Warren line.

Phoebe was the best at spells. It was mentioned a bunch of times in the show and she was the first person to every write a spell between the sisters. Amongst her greatest feats was creating the spell that killed the Source by calling on the Warren line's powers. Leo also mentioned that she wrote hundreds of spells in the book.

Phoebe was also mentioned as being the most intuitive of the sisters (possibly because of her power). This aspect of her was apparently legendary within demonic circles and so demons were more hesitant about attacking her and instead going after her sisters.

Paige because of her white lighter side has the most powers of all the sisters. Those white lighter powers are mainly passive though and seem to be binded by her being able to fully use them when in the service of her of good and her charges (remember she ultimately became the Charmed One's white lighter so that explains her using them for their benefit). On the flip side she was the sister with the fewest witch powers, she could only telekinetically orb throughout the series. In the comics she eventually developed the Orb Shield as another power which Wyatt had.

Prue before her death was the most powerful sister with the most innate magical energy of them all. This is because she was the first born. So she mastered her telekinesis before the rest of them and gained a new power before them as well. Her being the most powerful sister was commented on by the sisters themselves and many of their enemies. Her having the more innate magical energy is also proven on the show. Before the time reset and her death, Piper and Prue excluding Phoebe were strong enough to vanquish Shax together the first time. After Prue died, Piper and Phoebe needed Paige and the power of three to be able to vanquish Shax.

What else am I missing?
