I don't think Taylor is winning AOTY neither, even tho i think she deserves it because in terms of "quality+impact" it really was the album of the year. Some albums had quality but no impact, some had impact (not as huge as 1989, anyway) but no this high quality (I can't think of none atm, but there was surely something).

If she doesn't snatch Pop Vocal Album, I will be really disappointed, tho.

I dont think D Angelo is a real front runner.. He has critics but he doesnt have the commercial success of a winner and even his previous albums aint huge, a reason why he isnt a real legend (yet)

Kendrick has a good shot but his album is not very commercially driven..and yet when you are a new act you need that to justify you deserve to win. Plus, rap is still a mainstream genre, you need to sell a lot to win.

Dre has the biggest chance now (as I already stated before) : he has the legacy to be a winner and is a legend therefore he doesnt need some commercial success to be considered as a worthy winner.

If the grammys don't acknowledge the success and impact of 1989 with at least 2 Grammys then Taylor should boycott it for the rest of her life along with us

Imo they did "Speak Now" even worse than "Red". At least "Red" had a decent amount of nominations, even though it didn't win them and IKYWT was snubbed.

"Speak Now" didn't even get an AOTY nomination when it is sooooooo much better than "Fearless".

Hate to be a buzzkill, but imo SOTY rarely goes to the deserved winner. It will probably go to someone random like Uptown Funk tbh.

I care about nominations. I think 18 Oscar nominations for Merly Streep is really impressive for example, even if she's only won 3.

A nomination is a nod to be respected, even if the voters didn't choose you to be the winner in the end.
