I'm double majoring in English Literature and Math.

Something I'm completely interested in/passionate about learning, and something that will help me land a job.
I start in about two weeks.

I think I actually pulled of an A in Microbiology. I studied so hard for this class all semester, and apparently I got a 95% on the final. Like, I'm calculating my grade but I still don't believe it. I think I'm in shock

Has anyone else had this feeling of disbelief, for when a strenuous class is finally over? I feel like it just can't be over.

So I think i officially know what my schedule will like like this fall quarter after receiving more input from past students.

Calc 1 for Engineers, Chem 1, Race in the US, and Public Speaking.

I have sophomore standing so I'm not going to overwork myself for my first quarter even though many engineering students already want to bust their ass the first time around.

I AM a bit hesitant about Chem 1 though. I wasn't very good at AP Chem in high school. I pulled an A after a ton of extra credit and from always doing the homework (which was so hard btw, I don't remember any other HS class where 10-15 problems would consume a good 2 hours because I was so determined to solve the problem on my own). I ended up with a 2 on the actual exam because the FRQ's kicked my ass SO hard

Anyone have good stories about their experience w/ Chem 1?

I got my first and only C ever in Chem 1. Out of 50 people in my class, only 13-15 people passed.

Although, I'm pretty sure the professor I had did way too much on us. + the fact that I had like 40 hrs/wk of work and 3 other classes + no Internet at home(all my chem and physics assignments were online) probably impacted my grade a tiny bit.

Sigh. I will never put myself through that much ever again. **** work.

Chem 1 wasn't too bad for me. Although I got a B due to being a lazy freshman. The class also depends on what kind of chemistry professor you get. Some professors test and teach more for conceptual chemistry knowledge, while others are formula/problem oriented. Either way, there is plenty of help for chemistry online. Try chegg.com or clutchprep if you need help. I used clutchprep for both Chem 1 and Chem 2 my first year and got B's in both. I'm using it right now during my break to get a head start in Organic Chem.

Advice to anyone starting college/university who coasted through high school with minimal effort, always start a class with your full attention and max effort. It'll save you in the long run.

dddd sis you'll come to realize how tragic our timezone is compared to everyone else's.

3 years if you rush it, 4 if you take summers off etc.

Typically the workload. For example, my math class is 4 credits while my English is 3. It's expected you'll do more work in math than in English.

Tomorrow I start my third year at Uni, I'm studying Marketing + Communications.

I'm excited because finally most of my classes are related to stuff that interests me (no more math or accounting, yay) + I have a class with a former Emmy nominee, my time to shine is near.

I have 2 years left aprox. and it's really scare 'cause there's so much I want to do but I feel like I have no time.
Plus I don't really know what I want to do when I'm done and it frustrates me very much ''cause I don't know what skills I should be trying to get better at or to schedule the internships I wanna do or if I wanna study abroad, or...

I found two of my textbooks online for free which will save me $380 praise god.

My schedule for my first semester is:

Chemistry 109 (Accelerated/103 and 104 combined)
Calculus 2
Spanish 4
Environmental Geology


I REALLY don't want Environmental Geology though. My schedule got ****ed up and I couldn't fit a Psychology class so my advisor told me to do that instead. The topic itself sounds kind of interesting but 1) the class is graded on a bell curve, only 10% of students get an A, and 2) discussion is 20% of the grade I'm majoring in Psychology but doing pre-med and I'm worried that, in an already challenging semester, Geo will be very hard to get an A in. I wanted to do Philosophy 101 but that would put me at 17 credit hours instead of the 16 I'm at right now and my advisor didn't like that idea. I was also considering just doing the first 3 classes and having only 13 credits since I have quite a few coming in and this is my first semester, but I fear that will look bad. Any opinions?
