Poked a bit at that Trigger guy, because I was bored. He lost me when he said any of Taylor's music has been overlooked though

Okay what I’ve gotten from this.
You don’t like mainstream pop music, Max Martin or 1989. That’s fine. Everybody has their own taste.
You think Ryan Adams shouldn’t like 1989 either, because you don’t like it and what you don’t like can’t possible be liked by an artist you take seriously. That sounds very stupid to me, but whatever.

No, and no.
I wouldn’t say I’m a mainstream pop fan, but I’m not opposed to it all, or even opposed to all of Taylor Swift’s music. I think she’s made some decent music in the past that has been overlooked because of her bubblegum pop fare. I definitely don’t like Max Martin though. Screw that guy.
It’s also not that I don’t think Ryan Adams shouldn’t like ‘1989,’ I’m not sure that he does. So Ryan Adams really listens to “Shake It Off” and thinks this is something to be taken seriously? I’m not so sure Ryan isn’t doing this totally for irony. There are a couple of very marginally-okay songs on ‘1989,’ but it’s Swift’s weakest album by far, in my opinion. But like you said, everyone has their own taste, so there you go.
