Oh Lord, I've been stalking this thread every since it started, and I'm so happy to finally be able to post in here. I love Melanie so much and I'm so excited for Cry Baby. 1 week is too long
This album will be flawless. I can feel it. I'm excited for it all. I've been following her ever since I heard Carousel but I heard of her on the Voice. I never watched that show though.
I haven't listened to any of the snippets, or "Sippy Cup", cause I still want a lot of surprises on the record. But I did see her live earlier this year, and I'm so so so excited to hear "Alphabet Boy", "Cry Baby", and "Pacify Her" in studio form. They were all incredible live, especially AB. Can't wait till it leaks!
I hope her label realizes her potential and sends Pity Party or another single from Cry Baby to radio... I think Pity Party would do great on radio. When I saw her in June as an opener for someone she performed Pity Party and it seemed like the whole room loved it so I definitely think her label should eventually send it to radio.
Wow, when I saw the album cover I thought this would just be another generic, tacky pop album. But after listening to the songs so far I must say I'm pleasantly surprised. She's definitely one of my favourite new artists now.
