Hey guy, another poke stan here. My first gameboy color game almost 15 years ago was Pokemon red and I've loved the series ever since.
My favorite gen would have to be gen 2. Maybe I didn't play the gen 5 games enough but I feel that gen wasn't that memorable for me. I sometimes confuse it with gen 4.

Get into Hoard EV training. They come buy easier that way. i didn't encounter many shines till Gen 6. They made shiny appearance rates far easier to encounter in gen 6.
