For as long as I can remember, the Blogs section has been there to keep the mess away from the public threads.

I don't understand why we're making changes to the forum (the censor, removal of Dirty Talk, moderation of blogs, etc.) to appease advertisers when those advertisers have done nothing but **** us over with redirect ads and that Google malware block fiasco.

SYG and Random Thoughts both host general discussions about movies, with the former being a little more involved in cinema culture and going more in-depth across all boards of that industry. Celebria has threads for current major releases, which you can find by filtering the section to show only movies. (click at the top)

The update will have a section called "Entertainment" exclusively for movies and TV Shows - which will hopefully encourage even further discussion, and create a sub-community of film enthusiasts.

But it's only lost the purpose it had to you, the corrupted purpose that people gave it after they began abusing it. None of that was actually the purpose of the section. See where I'm going with this?

I wonder how many months/years stand your ground has left following the trend of censorship and making this site a "fun wholesome family experience"

I mean it kinda stands out when you think about the rest of the site and I imagine the only reason it's here and blogs aren't (they technically are but nobody cares about making actual blogs that's why they taper off in 1-2 pages) is probably because the mod team has members that care about SYG and post in it compared to blogs which the mods pay dust

I'm rambling but the site needs to stop catering to the ads or whoever is trying to change the spirit of the site (IMO before retro tries a this site was made in 1960 what do you know about the meaning of the site ) which seems to be messy overdramatic fun

Slowly but surely it's gonna get super strict and once the server is stablizied and a fresh crowd is coming in the team will give 2 beyoncés about what the older members miss but that's just my 2cents

Correct. Joseph had already evaluated the necessity of SYG given the content of the thread a while back.

There was a discussion and some of us fought very hard for it. It shouldn't even be moderated, but that's part of the compromise.

And so it will stay, as it should.
