All pop girls were slaying in the late 2000s/early 2010s though. When they flop like now stanning becomes uninteresting, like what's there to say when Britney, Rihanna, Gaga, Lana are flopping, Kesha's gone, Beyoncé has no pop hits anymore The new girls are Meghan, Iggy, Carly, Lorde
It's really interesting how the urban domination actually kept a new generation from getting into pop music. Maybe the 13-year-olds of today are also going to grow up uninterested in music. Maybe this time there will be no Gaga to eventually pull them in.
The Band Perry (only relevant for "If I Die Young") are apparently going pop with their next single.
It won't work for them because they have no dedicated fans, and are basically one hit wonders in both pop and country music.
They're on the same label as Taylor, though. I guess this is how an indie country label that's only been around since signing Taylor in 05 goes mainstream
I hope Bey's new album has songs like 7/11 (but catchier) and DiL. And maybe a Sweet Dreams thrown in there. Oh and that song that was used for 50 Shades.
