Don't do so much on April, if they get Sweetune behind them I'm totally here for it. And I've got high hopes for Dia too tbh. The new KARA/new T-ara combo would be nice if it works, but idk how well MBK will fare with Dia. It seems like they're more talented than T-ara and they're clearly going for a similar sound/image but they could easily just turn into the next Five Dolls.
Unrelated but I noticed that 2014/2015 so far are a really good example of the black/white dichotomy in k-pop. 2014 was populated with girl groups doing sexy concepts to the point where people were starting to notice the trend + complain, and now the newly-debuting groups of 2015 are trying to counteract that animosity by being all about innocent concepts. Lovelyz, GFriend, OMG, now April.
Interestingly enough, for established groups, it's been a distinctly innovative year so far. Big Bang did this MADE thing, miss A went vaguely cutesy instead of the dark vibe they'd had going, SHINee tried house, SNSD and WG reinvented themselves, 2PM released a good song, SuJu released a good album, Infinite, 9 Muses, 4minute, AOA, T-ara, Girl's Day, and Rainbow all changed up their sound (maybe Girl's Day not so much but generally there's been a trend). Only A Pink, Sistar, and B2ST all stuck to what they've been doing.
Just thought it was noteworthy.
