Maybe because Patty died shortly after her birth meanwhile Sam didn't do anything but waste his life away. He didn't even bother to seek out his biological daughter after he lost everything. The Elder's punishment couldn't have been as bad as the depression and misery he was in. Not to mention, after P3 H2O when he left with Patty in their "afterlife" he returned in season 5 as a deadbeat loser. Failed again.

Cat House and Pre-Witched were very similar episodes. Both of them slayed. Repent for your sins

I hate Cat House for the fact Shannen won't allow her image to be shown. Pre-Witched is the most underrated ep of S3

The show went downhill with season 5, when it became a family flick (when all the fairytales character/story and the first baby Haliwell were introduced in the show) but before that the show kept a great consistency and the true essence of the show during 4 seasons (dark atmosphere, blood, charm, female sexuality, feminism)
The show was still good but it wasn't the same after season 4
Weirdly what saved the show was season 5, the show got almost cancelled at the end of season 4, the ratings were good but not enough for WB who wanted to introduce new shows
I don't know if y'all noticed but the final episode of season 4 feels almost like a series finale
The WB asked the team behind Charmed for more "loners" episode, a less serialized season so people could catch an episode during the season without being lost
The writers presented a story arc that could attract a new family audience (with tons of "one-shot" episode) and WB loved it so much they renewed the show for a season 5 and 6
The show was moved from Thursday (a teen slot) to Sunday (a family slot)
That's when the show overflowed with family-friendly magic stories (fairytales, super-hero, magic school, the themes of being a mother/raising a baby were introduced)
The season slayed in ratings, the most watched season since season 2.

Interesting. I remember I was like 9 when watching season 1 and my mom would yell at me to go to bed when I tried to stay up watching Charmed lmao.
The standalone episodes with no overall arc are what slowly killed this show for me. The feminism, the sisterhood, the magic is what got me. When it all got all light I was like meh. The King Arthur episode was so ****** to me. Season 4 was great. Season 5 and 6 were good/okay. The first half of season 7 was terrible. Season 8 had decent episodes here and there.

Btw is it just me or is Billie's powers are what Prue's powers would have become had she not died.

Paige could glamour thanks to her whitelighter power, not a witch shape-shifting power

I think season 5 is associated with the flood of fairytail episodes and lack of story arc and for me at least, is what I remember when I think of season 5, and not the good standout episodes.

season 6 I think was their peak in terms of power as a group. They had chris, leo and Phoebe at full empath force, aswell as wyatt's expanding powers, acess to all the resources at magic school etc. They were kinda unstoppable, even without the budget cuts I feel like one of the trio would have been depowered slightly to make them more vunerable again.

Honestly Shannen is the blame for the show's downfall. If she had allowed her image to be used on the show Forever Charmed would have been executed much better

Nope. Prue was a Warren Witch, a Charmed One and the Eldest witch in her family's generation at the time she was alive. Raw power-wise she outranked both her sisters when she was alive (and by extension Piper) and because of her status as a Charmed One her full power potential was larger than her sisters and so every other living witch in the world activated or not (including Billie).
If she stayed alive her powers would've developed differently and been more powerful than Billie's. Actually in the comics she said that the only reason that Billie and her Sister even stood a chance against the sisters as the 'Ultimate Power' was because she died. When she returned and used her Telekenesis she could make things explode by moving them at high speeds and easily lift and move around a car.
By extension Prue's kid would have been stronger than Wyatt had she given birth to one before Piper.

I really think it will be a great storyline if Phoebe's evil child is somehow still alive and he rivals Wyatt or perhaps turns him evil for a movie reunion since they already had their "ultimate battle." And somehow Prue comes back and maybe rivals Paige? Omg I would be so slayed by the special effect especially in 2015
Here's hoping to getting SOMETHING since the show is coming up on a decade since the series finale in 2006

It was so unfair how all the sisters could use their powers on each other except for Piper
Prue flinging Phoebe across the attic, Phoebe using her empath power on Piper, Paige orbing them to wherever she pleases but yet "good witches can't freeze"

Yeah you can tell the show took a more light hearted direction starting with 5. Still loved it but it was different. I guess they needed to keep it fresh though which is how it lasted so long. I still love the first 4 seasons the most though.
