Drake's career isn't going anywhere because this.
Meek was the one who started, got embarrassed, and made up lies so if any career is effected it's clear on who's.
Drake has been in past beefs (remember when he fought Chris Brown and that was suppose to end his career? Or when DMX and various other rappers were attacking him for the Aaliyah project forcing him to leave it?). It's nothing new and the beef isn't even serious, it'll be forgotten in a month.
To be honest most hip hop beefs don't tend to damage careers too much in the long run. People move on and forget usually.
However, I can think of a few which probably did, for example Kanye West vs. 50 Cent in 2007 seemed to hurt 50 Cent's career a lot. He still had some success afterwards, but nowhere near as much as before. And some would argue recently that Azealia Banks hurt Iggy's career. And of course there's 50 Cent (and Eminem/Dr. Dre) vs. Ja Rule, which clearly hurt Ja Rule's career (and by extension probably Ashanti, Irv Gotti and other's careers...).
1D broke the Spotify record for most plays in a day in US (1.172M). They're really tryna come for that #1 hit.
I wonder if the plays will fizzle down though, since when the song originally dropped they kept posting links to Spotify, however now, lots of their fanbase has bought the song.
