I feel like the late 90s early 2000s batch of pop girls is by far the worst and most forgotten. Britney, Xtina, Shakira, and other boring bitches like avril kelly or Pink are all over now and have no impact. I feel bad for anyone who stans them.
They're not old or successful enough to be lumped in with Mariah, Madonna, Celine, Janet, MJ, etc., thereby lacking the "legendary" sumptuousness and prestige associated with that crew, but they're not modern enough to compete with Taylor, Katy, Rih, even Flopga. Beyonce is the only one to shave survived that truly rotten late 90s/early2000s crop.
