It was a LOT like The Ring in terms of plot so it's not that out there. I did like it, but I don't think it's the masterpiece people are saying either

I particularly said "appreciate the effort" because I don't consider it to be a HUGE masterpiece, but I do think it's innovative and very different from all the jump scares exorcism movies we've been getting lately.

The "masterpiece" comment was more at the inctedible hype for that movie in general sorry I wasn't clear And yeah, big improvement over the wanna-be PAs (and the original PA)
I kinda had semi-high hopes for it. It only improved a little towards the end. Glad I didn't spend money on that foolishness.
Where did you watch it? My friends were so mad at me for taking them with me to watch that **** instead of Trainwreck I love possesion movies but this was just it was only me and my 4 friends and 4 more people watching it

At the AMC Loews. I had a couple of those gofobo advance screening passes from corriente latina. Usually they never last more than a minute but apparently no one wanted to see this.
I tried getting passes for both Trainwreck and that new Mission Impossible movie, but I ended up waitlisted

not everyone will think the same way as you sis everyone got different tastes.
I watched Creep too last night. The peachfuzz standing in front of the door scene was the scariest one in my opinion. Of course it's a good movie but kind of disappointing. I guess musickid shouldn't have said it was the best movie in a while, that got my expectations very high.
Still think that The Conjuring, As Above So Below, Stoker and Sinister were the best ones of the last 3 years. Evil Dead was a nice one too.
The conjuring was definitely disappointing to me. And I fell asleep on Evil Dead.
