It'll be fine.
The Chinese Govt censors understand the difference between Taylor's album merch and political criticism. Taylor is not a political artist and 1989 is not an album about politically sensitive subjects. In addition to that, any censors would clearly prefer for any online references to 1989 to be about Taylor's Swift's products/album/tour rather than T Square. Ironically, Taylor's merchandise will actually help the Chinese Govt censors on this topic. If they started banning Taylor merchandise, it would actually raise more questions in China about an issue in which they are trying to stifle discussion. As long as Taylor doesn't start talking about Tibet she will be OK.
Plus folks need to realise that Taylor will be selling a wide range of merchandise there. If a couple of items do get banned, then they will be banned but everything else will still be available.
This article explains it well

And this issue is addressed in detail here from someone with a Chinese perspective and why the initials T.S. or the year 1989 are not significant.

Maybe Heddy will make a comment on it.
