Most major publications didn't though because Nicki had already referred to them as 'white media' beforehand. if hey had criticized her/called her out for misusing the race card, they would confirm to her and her supporters (and Black Twitter) that she was right and that they truly are "white" media. So what did the 'white' media do? They "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSS NICKI YOU LOOK SOOO GOOOOOD"ed to dispel any notion of them being racist.
And no, I haven't seen anybody stating/implying that racism issues are not existent in day to day life or within the music industry. There has just become a very big, wide and noticeable difference between how the African-American public is treated in the real world; the day to day life, and how African-American celebrities are treated by the media recently.
