Um, and yes Taylor should have apologized just for the simple fact that Nicki didn't say her name. It could have been "obviously about her," but at the end of the day, Nicki could have flipped it anyway she liked to (which she did) because no names were said. You don't respond to subliminal messages. It's called "a hit dog will holler." In this case, Taylor was the dog. I don't see anything wrong with her apologizing.

Her points about racism in the entertainment industry are 100% correct, but I don't think she actually cares about anything except Nicki Minaj getting a nomination. Where was she was Kendrick lost his rightful Grammy to Macklemore? Has she ever spoken about the huge number of super talented black women besides Beyoncé and Rihanna who are consistently ignored by mainstream music? Those are much more glaring examples of racism is the industry, but of course those don't affect Nicki Minaj's wallet or trophy cabinet, so...
