God I HATE ******** like the "evidence" conspiracy-theorists come up with to scare people and get attention from tragic issues. The images "proving" Sandra to be dead/lying down/standing on her head and doing a cartwheel in her mugshot are just presented to make people assume the worst
A) First of all, the idea of her being dead in the mugshot and that someone tried to pull a Weekend At Bernie's is just a ridiculous cartoon-esque theory. The crackpot who cooked that theory up manipulates his audience by his choice of pictures: one is a selfie in a car during the daytime and the other is Sandra taking a mugshot inside. The person who came up with this said something along the lines of:
she just looked OFF, y'know? I couldn't put it together in the beginning but a few days later I realized that Sandra was DEAD in the mugshot! Look at her eyes! You can see up her nose!!
It should be ringing a few bells that this person themselves admitted they had to stretch and sit on this theory a little while to come up with it. (It should also be worrying when you realize this person isn't a mortician nor probably even a photographer, but still.)
The photos being compared are very different. 1: There's natural lighting on Sandra's skin and eyes in the selfie and not in the mugshot. 2: She's sitting down in a carseat (With a variable angle) looking
into a phone camera (With a variable angle) in the selfie and she's backed against a wall (That will always be 90 straight up and is kind of uncomfortable to stand against. Anyone who's ever had to take an official picture for a job or dentist or something knows the crown of your head and heels need to be against the wall for these kinds of pictures) looking
at a camera without a variable angle and no control over the photo. 3: She's smiling in the selfie and is prepared for it but naturally and reasonably PISSED in the mugshot, and likely in pain after her brutal arrest.
After that, hopefully you're reconsidering the possibility of Sandra being dead in these mugshots.
Most ridiculous is the theory that she's laying on the ground for her mugshot. (Which would feed into the "she's dead in the photo" camp.) THIS part of the theory has changed the most in the past two days, and is most likely ********. Like, every smaller site theorizing on this adds a new detail and removes a less plausible one. First was the idea that she MUST be on the ground because the wall is BLANK in the mugshot and her cell FLOOR is blank and the other mugshots of the prison have walls with BRICKS in the pictures, therefore she was ON THE GROUND OF HER CELL!!! Of course that theory completely fell apart when people dug up other mugshots in front of blank walls and thought "well gee, maybe she just took her photo in front of a different wall?" which is likely what happened.
Next a new detail was added to this theory begging the audience to
look at the shadows behind her head!!! The angle is fishy!!! They don't match the shadows of other mugshots!, again ignoring the possibility that there could be more than one designated mugshot room/wall with different lighting, or it could be a different time of day, changing the ambient light AND... the shadow. So that theory didn't hold any water either and was subsequently eliminated from the "Sandra was dead" conspiracy.
Now we get to the "shoulder angle proves death" theory. There's so much bias in these photos, comparing something as ridiculous as "shoulder angles". Whoever collected them went as far as to highlight the angles in THICK RED LINES,
JUST IN CASE YOU'RE TOO STUPID TO PICK IT UP, Y'ALL!! Doing so draws your eyes to it, influence your eyes, plays tricks on you, and makes something like shoulder slants that's really not a big thing, or maybe not even existent, suddenly seem larger than life. I could draw red lines slanting down on a corpse and straight lines on a living person standing up and make you believe the exact opposite happened. It's how design and our minds work. (You should also be suspicious that the photos this theorist chose didn't show anyone's actual complete shoulderline, with some having only a fourth of one shoulder BARELY in frame, while you can see the entirety of Sandra's left shoulder and nearly all of her right one.) Hammering the bias home is the choice of 6 standing mugshots to ONE picture of a girl that looks like a ****ing corpse already to compare with Sandra's shoulders (The camera angles are also off in the pic of the red dress girl, too! Doesn't match how Sandra's picture was taken.). But let's just pretend that this latest shoulder theory checks out:
Bodies are different. Clothes are different. The amount of body included in each picture is different.
Sandra herself appears to have had
noticeably flat shoulders. Jumpsuits are MEANT to fit multiple people and don't settle nicely on your shoulders like a goddamn
tailored suit would. (Which was the first mugshot used in comparison). Use your own minds.
Finally, notice that NO major news network has picked this theory up for the 24 hours it has been floating around. Because they realize internet users are dumbasses who will make **** up for attention and to scare people.
I think she was wrongfully arrested, abused, and she should have never been in this situation in the first place. There should be repercussions. But please, STOP listening to people who are making crap up.
