Yeah, it can be a bit much when some of you just start adding millions to her album sale total when it's already beyond impressive and untouchable to begin with.
Let us not take the Shakira stan route and start doubling the sales of each individual album. We're better than that!
Britney stands at 11-11.5 million copies sold ww which is really impressive if you ask me. Everything more than 12 million is a stan fiction. It's not like we need to inflate her album sales, especially not those before 2004. Have you seen her peers' total album sales? Not even Madonna or Michael have outsold their peers by that margin.

The problem with Britney albums sales are that we don't have all figures from Asia. We know Asia has always loved and supported her. Countries like the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, China,... Must have contributed a lot and I doubt sites like Mediatraffic has those sales from Asia. So adding 1m - 2m to each of her first 4 albums + GH is understandable.
B-but what about all the countries MediaTraffic doesn't count? What about Myanmar? Chad? Turkmenistan? Micronesia? MILLIONS of sales are left out of the total. So unfair.

They do count Asia. The only albums they underestimated are GH:MP (by a lot) and Britney (not by much). The rest of their estimations slay.

speak for yourself when you say we because the stuff that i have from 2004 and 2007 are not from label written press releases...it's from music publications.
This is why I agree with Anticipating regarding Britney selling 12M WW but don't agree with his claims on the BOMT and OIDIA because I have more than one thing in my back pocket showing OIDIA as 24M back in the mid 00s and 28M for BOMT but whatevs
Britney is at a bit over 12 million MAX. It's still the 4th best selling album of 2001, a year in which over 100 albums were certified platinum. No need to inflate its sales.

Oops went Diamond in Turkmenistan for 1.5 copies sold why are you not counting that?

I wouldn't say that Britney's sales are underestimated. It has sold 5 million in the States only. There's no way it has sold more than 6 million everywhere else.
