The lead single and centerpiece of Ultraviolence is Lana's final song on the countdown. The song is the most acclaimed song in the rate, but not only that, it's 17-OUT chart run is one of the steepest drops off the Hot 100 ever, legend!
It's easy to see why the song was so lauded, no one expected Lana to make a song like this, least of all me. I had overplayed Born to Die and in 2013, found a bunch of albums I preferred to it. I was worried that she'd serve a Born to Die part II. But no, she served this heavenly masterpiece. The tempo change alone obliterates damn near every song in the countdown. If it weren't for the obvious sabotage, the song would've easily won. Too bad. Lana is out now. But one day, much like Jesus, she will return and snatch a rate win for herself.
Oh and one last thing, this is the final song to receive any 11s.
