I don't think I could handle working as a nurse or in a hospital because I'd probably get emotionally involved and take it really hard when a patient dies. You gotta be tough to do that type of work.

To be honest it's not that bad. Most of the people that die at the ER are 80+ years old, so nobody really cares.
However, when children, teenagers or young adults die, it's really heartbreaking.

i actually had a morbid reply to this but I changed my mind . I just say this is kinda me but I still don't see any other profession for me

I don't know if "glad" is the right adjective to use here . But you're right, once you see how much someone has suffered and how peaceful they look after its all over you might feel slightly at ease

Yes. Sometimes death is a relief for the family. Anyway. Enough of death-talk, it's kind of depressing.
I'm a 17-year-old Chinese who's currently studying in the States. It's been a great experience for me but I feel like I'm isolating myself from everyone else. Might be the language barrier or cultural difference or whatever, but I find myself not willing to open up myself to others. Part of me want to go out and make new friends, but at the same time I'm repulsive to all the complicated relationships. I have very little in common with the other kids and I feel awkward when I'm with them, yet it feels bad being alone. Im very conflicted right now and don't know what to do.
