Like Nicki was a mess for pulling the race card in the FIRST place, but she does now have a biT of a valid point of how media tends to take the white side. but the race card has no validity in her original complaint about Taylor's reply and Nicki was being stupid for backtracking while still shading Tay on the down low (and now she's like **** it I hate Taylor) and it's all so messy and Taylor is stupid for replying but it's all so messy x1000
There's like a million different factors in this and Nicki is arguing like 5 different unrelated things at at time and trying to spin it to fit ha agenda

Nicki is right about white media and the white system like 100%. She is right about that. But white media isn't the reason SHE specifically wasn't nominated. Anaconda did not have any impact on pop culture like she's deluding herself to believe.

Yikes.
Furthermore, it's also interesting to note, that now that Nicki Minaj has been called out on her ridiculousness by Taylor Swift (and most recently by Ryan Seacrest), she's playing the race card to try to save face. Because "Anaconda" was so amazing, so spectacular, that if it's not nominated for the award that she wants, then everyone's racist!

I get why Nicki's mad. Whether or not y'all think the video deserved to be nominated, it was a huge video and if it were anyone else they would have been nominated. Nicki was snubbed for whatever reason but she wasn't right for coming @ Taylor.
Taylor was right that one of the boys probably took her spot, as BB was deserving of its nom.
Either way - it's just a VMA and another reason why these artist should stop taking these award shows so seriously.

Tidal was dragged because it was launched as "Hey, we're a bunch of uber-powerful and rich artists, give us more money."
Taylor got away with it because (go read her open letter again) she acknowledged that she's already super rich, but feels music has value still and thinks less wealthy artists should get paid.
