But, yes, The Black Eyed Peas will be performing "I Gotta Feeling" the day after. And,
America's Got Talent is the most watched show of the summer, but it's not as influential as
American Idol. Remember when Natasha Bedingfield performed "Angel" on
America's Got Talent, the song barely got into the top 50 on iTunes. It's because people don't watch
America's Got Talent for the music. The show isn't about music, so it's not drawing in all of the music lovers that would download a song they hear on television. Yes, there are singers on the show, but there's more people doing other things besides singing. Whereas, shows like
American Idol,
So You Think You Can Dance,
Dancing with the Stars,
Nashville Star, and music award shows like the
Grammys,
MTV Video Music Awards,
American Music Awards, etc. draw in the huge music lovers crowd, which means more influence on the downloads the performance will give off.
