Tell that to the other country pop artists of the past that were able to sell well WW

Did I really just see a post that said FFS was bigger than Lean On?
Y'all need to seriously go outside. Lean On is demolishing on the charts and more important, the REAL world. Everyone is living for it. It's a song that is hitting all demographics. FFS tried to achieve that with its messy ass sound but it obviously failed.

The hive leaching onto Taylor
Taylor is a U.S dependent artist, that is all.

Sorry, but Taylor's payola driven, low-selling "global" hits aren't passing Rihanna anytime soon

Whew! The SYG dynamic is about to SHIFT once again. I still remember the days when Britney stans would perch in here. And then after that when Monsters would perch. And now the Navy, but since FFS they've slowly started to evacuate.
|
And now the TayLORD stans are coming in, but even TayLORD's decline won't be as tragic as Rihanna's, Britney's, Gag's, etc. Everyone loves her.

The Taylor bandwagon is getting embarrassing.

She outsells my fave twice but she's still local and most of those albums are county fodder only Americans care about. Katy's still got hits and a bigger brand and global presence
|
Lol if we only count major markets then let's look at the top 3, us, japan, UK.
Taylor outperforms katy in all of them. Especially with their most recent eras.
Worldwide katy has sold 14m albums. Taylor's sold 2x that in the US alone. So I can kinda see why you're desperate to discredit it.

Lean On is not even that good. FFS is better. It also doesn't have a cultural-wearing video.

And Katy's payola driven career isn't becoming more critically acclaimed than Hilary Clinton anytime soon.

Are most of Taylor's current fans here, former Kesha or Gaga fans?

Karma for constantly dragging Madonna's low YT views?
I always knew BR was just a big hit and nothing more. Gaga has PF, which is an iconic hit but still isn't up there with the other girls actual classics. She doesn't have a song that has reached the level of LAP, Vogue, BOMT, CIL, IWALY, and MHWGO.

Which reminds me, Katy has 4 #1s in the UK and a top 5 hit single in Japan, and 5 more #1 singles than Taylor in the US.
Taylor has released 2 albums more than Katy too so she should have more hits and be a global force by now, yet.....

Shania Twain and Garth Brooks are like the only two country artists who were global.
And anyhow, Shania released pop versions of her albums for Europe and Asian markets.

Lean On was tailor made for Rihanna. She's lost her ear for a hit but she had a good run.
