Center it around Kirby going to college and quickly murders start happening on campus. Have Sydney get killed of during the opening kill.  |

Guys, is Insidious 3 worth watching? I've seen the first two and they were interesting. But when I read that this new one is a prequel, I kind of lost interest.    |

Go watch it.  |

In Their Skin I also didn't like. I watched it when it first came out. The fake young boy annoyed me to no end.

Sorry for the short opinions but they were both pretty awful/don't require much introspection

Maybe one step above Annabelle except Annabelle actually had one genuinely scary scene (the basement). I LOVE the first two but the third was basic as ****. You can tell that James Wan had no part in it. Also there's way too much sentimentality in it.

Well, I suppose it's worth watching since you get backstory on queen Elise, but don't expect a good or scary film.  |

Black Christmas is a decent slasher.
I watched the Poltergeist remake the other day and it was so bad    |

If you want slasher recs:
Kill Theory - Cool twist on the traditional slasher set up
Sorority Row - You've probably seen it, but if not, Leah Pipes as Jessica alone is worth one viewing
Behind the Mask: Rise of Leslie Vernon - Awesome and original slasher deconstruction from the killer's PoV
Maniac Remake - LITERALLY from the killer's PoV. Elijah Wood was also great. Not fun, tho
Killer Movie - It's a cast full of bitchy girls so... ATRL's wet dream. One of the main characters is even an uber-bitchy Britney Spears/Paris Hilton hybrid. Not amazing, but fun
Hellbent - Gay slasher (Killer's victims are all gay/bi guys, which also means gay final boy since none of the victims are girls). Kinda cheap and low budget, but I did like it
Curtains - Underrated 80s slasher with an AMAZING chase scene near the end
Madman - Kind of a Friday the 13th knockoff, but still fun
Chopping Mall - Replace serial killer with killer robots that shoot lasers. It's as amazingly campy and fun as it sounds

And of course, there's always going through the big slasher movie series like Friday, ANOES, FD, etc. But those are so well known they're not even worth bringing up  |

 | YASS, Sorority Row is one of my favorite slashers, it’s a cute slasher and worth a watch

Hellbent was messy but I loved it they tried so hard to personify each character but fell flat, still a good halloween flick, and one about the gheys for once.  |

It's so much fun. But I am so pissed that Maggie lived over bitch GODDESS Jessica, who was easily the best part of the whole movie. It's unforgivable You could've swapped Ellie out too, but I liked her okay
I did say super cheap, but yeah, Hellbent was messy, I still liked it anyways though. And I know the guys were really one dimensional (though to be fair, most slasher characters are), but I still kinda liked them despite it.  |

I seriously adore horror. I have hundreds of horror movies, I've seen even more, I'm a film major in college primarily because I love the genre, and I even made a site about them. Definitely one of my biggest hobbies/interests    |

It Follows is great. Loved the direction and cinematography. It was creepy, but only 1 scene really scared the crap out of me. Good movie though.
Insidious 3 was alright. I liked it better than 2. Some of the scenes in her room were really creepy.

It felt MTV's pilot episode of Insidious the TV series.

Ghost Whisperer has more scares than Insidious 3, and that is truly tragic.  |
