Taylor never really strayed away from reality though. She does these bubblegum generic songs that are made to smash but she does it in a more... genuine/normal way. Katy meanwhile has a history of shooting cream out ha titties, swinging on a vine like Tarzan, and the travesty that is This How We Do.
Taylor just has a more sweet/wholesome image that makes it even easier for people to digest and love.
