I think our media is partly to blame. They hype up new girls too much. And number ones are so faceless/pointless now - when you consider the fact Cheryl Cole, Rita Ora, Geri Halliwell and now Jess Glynne are the competitors for who has the most, it kinda says it all.
I think the UK pop girls suffer from that too - being generic. I think the fact that they're local to the UK proves it.
