No @ outstanding series or best actor noms for Angela & Denis. Denis overacted, and Angela was good but far from note-worthy.

I agree, but Kathy and Jessica's acting wasn't great or noteworthy either.

Technical categories are for Monsters Among Us, Edward Mordrake Part II, Orphans, Magical Thinking & Curtain Call, but idk how that works for acting.

It doesn't work like that for noms.

Fact is, Limited Series is a pathetic, empty category.
There's a reason it was 2nd place in Gold Derby's predix after Olive Kitteridge despite the likelihood and now reality that its writing was snubbed again.

It would be so fascinating to see how their nom haul would plummet if it was submitted as a Drama Series.

*It could be worse though. Grace of Monaco got in for TV Movie despite having a 21% on Metacritic.

Maybe you should finish the season and see why.

Frances being the literal acting highlight of the show and not getting a nom.

Sarah being nominated for supporting just so that they can make sure she won't accidentally snatch Jessica's potential Emmy that she doesn't deserve for this season

Angela getting nominated when she doesn't deserve it because her acting (as good as it was) was far from a highlight of the show

Denis getting nominated when he ate the scenery in the most cringe-worthy ways and was totally uncomfortable to watch half the time

Watch through episode 10, then stop, because episodes 11 & 12 become a Neil Patrick Harris tribute where they shoehorn 10 episodes worth of plot into 2 and therefore robbing other important characters of valuable and usable screentime for the sake of satisfying a guest star who does nothing except talk to himself and kill Emma Roberts for no reason before the finale where everything is rushed and closed up lazily and halfheartedly
