It was basically "Cookie & the Others" in the first season, which peaked at 17 million viewers. Just read all of the reviews and synopsis.

The Lyons are the main focus of the show Vin. Everyone has great parts but Cookies shines the most - this will keep going on the second season because it worked. As you said it yourself, you don't watch it so you don't know. It's impossible to hide a fan favorite, she's one of the reasons the show is so successful (the most important reason)

I have to agree. I've never seen a single episode but it just seems like pure cheese, a corny transparent vehicle for shoehorned and painfully earnest gay agendas with that "Jussie" boy, lame bootleg music, and low hanging-fruit in the form of canned sassy/ghetto one liners from Taraji P. henson. The black Glee.

Why are people so threatened by a black woman being successful? Taraji surprisingly took Empire to record-breaking ratings with no issue. Some people just can't take.
