Cheerleader I believe has one more week at number one at least. Nearly identical sales and radio right now. Remember cheerleader has 4 versions combined.
Plus Cheerleader is getting slight promo tomorrow and has a healthy lead over CFMF in streams already before the promo

my god, that tragic day has come. I'd rather having SYA at the top for a few more weeks than Cheerleader hitting no.1 #unpopularopinion
what comes next after Abel? right now there's no one. most likely candidate is taylor swift's next single. but she's so busy touring right now, I dont' see her releasing another huge video/remix and heavily promoting it.

Cheerleader is way more tolerable than SYA, imo. Still doesn't deserve getting the #1, while some of the better summer smashes, such as Lean On and Worth It, are struggling to go Top 10.

So wait, I'm confused. I read somewhere that last week's charts are not going to be recognized in the Billboard archives? that they are a sort-of mid-week look into this week's properly recognized one?
EDIT: "sales in Nielsen Music's tracking system for this period in its archived database" - SO it's Nielsen's, not Billboard's. Congrats to SYA and its 12 weeks, then, and to OMI and "Cheerleader" (which Felix Jaehn's remix I bopped hard to).

I blame Ariana and 50 Shades of Grey for making him so well known.

You should blame his management and record company for seeing those opportunities

"Honey, I'm Good." 3 consecutive weeks at #11.
If this song wouldn't have gone top 10, I'd be extremely mad right now.
(Hopefully the country remix will help it come back next week. )

Who the **** is buying those Meek tracks? And shame on America giving Fetty Wap a second hit while J Cole and Kendrick struggle.

I think Abel & Fetty will end this year with biggest amount of top-10 eneries. Abel already has 3, Fetty is coming with 679 & Around The World (+My Way may become a single).

I'm still mad My Way not on ANY streaming service. I just hear it on Urban radio

They're selling albums. I'm sure they're not worried about single sales.

-I say "Cheerleader" will get a total of 3 weeks atop, with "Can't Feel My Face" spending the next two weeks at #2.
-I see "Can't Feel My Face" earning about 8 weeks atop (probably more, but we'll see).
-"Watch Me" has definitely peaked at #3, however, it will spend over 10 weeks in the top 10.
-If "Worth It" doesn't scrape the top 10 at #10, then I see it peaking at #12 or #13.
-I still believe "Lean On" will earn at least one week in the top 10. Almost top 15 in airplay, and its top 10 on iTunes and top 5 on Spotify. Maybe peaking at #9 or #10.
-"The Hills" will go top 5 eventually, especially when radio jumps on board.
-"Fight Song" will peak at #3.
-"Good For You" will re-peak (not too much higher maybe #7 or #8) once radio starts playing it more.
-"Photograph" and "Uma Thurman" will both go and peak in the top 20. Ed at #16 and Fall Out Boy at #18.
-"Renegades" by X Ambassadors will be a hit in the fall, along with "Here" by Alessia Cara.
-"679" will definitely be Fetty's follow-up hit, once it starts to explode on radio. It'll probably make top 5.
-I could see Sage The Gemini's collab with Nick Jonas "Good Thing" being a top 30 hit in the Fall.
-I see "Bad Blood" dropping out of the top 10 after 13-15 weeks.
-I don't see "Cool For The Summer" going top 10, but I see it going top 20 after the video. I also see it having longevity, considering that radio is supporting it.
|
I agree with most of these, except I think Watch Me will peak at #2 (maybe #1 but Omi/The Weeknd might block it). The song still has loads of room to grow on radio and will probably get more viral videos in coming weeks to increase sales and streaming.
