America is annoying with slow charts, but to be a #1 hit here you truly do have to be a smash hit to be atop radio, streaming, and sales. When a song goes #1 here it's actually a #1. These songs free-falling by next month in UK.

I think if America ever switched to UK's way people would get mad.

That has to be one of her most forgotten #1s despite being the most recent. She opened her era with two #1s but her album sells were not good. Her peak was years ago tbh.

Usher gets good airplay on a few key stations here.

The UK's charts have slowed down A LOT now with streaming being counted. Before singles' success were just based on sales. Not to mention radio holds WAY too much power in the UK. #1 songs were literally chosen to be #1 songs by radio executives etc. basically.

yeah since sales died UK charts are very annoying and you have one-year wonders like Jess Glynne already with four #1s when the female record is five.
