Yeah I can't think of any song that could fall back out to get UF back in either. HM, WAUN if it's streaming boost is short lived, or SUAD, but it would need to fall a lot to do that. So I don't know if UF can sneak back in or not.

Bad Blood is a 4th single while S&M was a third one.
Bad Blood's remix version was used as the official single version while S&M remix was used just to get the #1 spot on a single week.

S&M was released in 2011 when digital sales were at their peak (2009-2012) and sold 3.8M copies.
Bad Blood was released in 2015, the time when you can hit #1 on the HDS with 179k copies and is almost at 2M already.
Plus, 5M people already own 1989 and the song is still having a huge effect on the album's sales. Couldn't say the same for LOUD since it only sold 1.8M there.

Wrecking Ball and Only Girl were #9 in sales when they got to #1 (WB being a return).

Sweetie, the S&M comparison doesn't work here because as you said the mix was released just to secure the #1 and it served its purpose. And for everything else only works in Bad Blood's favor. 1. The remix version was promoted as the official single and its not included on the album so it should have had an easier time getting to #1 and staying there. Saying 5M people already own the album is a BS excuse when referring to this one as Bad Bood (feat. Kendrick Lamar) is NOT on 1989.

A better example would be to compare it to ET (feat. Kanye West) by Taylor's fave. Since she was inspired by her tactic. ET spent 5 weeks at #1 though and was one of the biggest hits of the year.
