That's not what he meant.
He was saying that he "wished" he was gay because it would be easier for everybody else to understand. Everybody ELSE views him dressing up and being feminine as characteristics of being gay, so if he were to just tell people he was gay, it would make sense to other people. But people have a much harder time understanding bisexuality and he feared people wouldn't get the idea that he has all these "gay qualities" and yet he's still attracted to girls.
And honestly, based on 90% of the replies in this thread, it makes perfect sense why he was afraid people wouldn't understand his bisexuality
