And coming up with a concept is not what makes a great artist. You have to turn this concept into something tangible not just have it on your mind. The word artist literally requires that the artist creates something and not have it in his mind.

I'm using hyperbolic language for simplicity, but no not everyone can do that. But yes A LOT of people do. Just open YouTube. A prominent example is Gaga when she was Stefani Germanotta. It doesn't always result in good music (Electric Kiss kinda sucks).

And I guess we agree on that last point. Cause that's what Beyonce did. She was the grand architect of the whole album. Songwriters didn't hear each others songs, directors weren't aware of the other videos, even her record label didn't know of her marketing strategy. And it manged to be so cohesive and well executed.

That's not to say she didn't do any "carpentry". Often people forget the artistry involved in vocal production which are 90% Beyonce's work.
