I think it was Ramos that said the word ARTPOP in the main song should have been Our Love instead. Would have been a top five peaking single (especially if it were the Swinefest production and vocals).

I still remember how disappointed I was upon hearing BTW for the first time. In retrospect, not a bad album. No one could have lived up to the amount of hype she built going in to that era tho. Even TEOG was v meh on first listen. I was most impressed by HML only because it was the one song that wasn't mentioned or played in advanced—the power of the element of surprise God forbid she doesn't blabber about the life-changing work she's about to bestow on the world months before the release

Only hits on the album, tbqh. But she would've needed to have done a non-controversial video for DWUW since she wouldn't have gotten the OSCARs gig w/ the real video, and Sexxx Dreams wouldn't have worked as a single because it would've been seen as a DWUW 2.0 and thirst for attention with controversial sex again.
The Oscars and all these random cover performances are definitely reinforcing the fact that Gaga is a big talent behind the dumb costumes to the GP.
Now, why didn't her team capitalize off this attention?
It was too early to start a new era when she was doing the public covers era. Cheek to Cheek era wasn't even 6 months in, and the tour had yet to start. I think her team is doing fine.
Cheek to Cheek era improved the GP's thoughts, the performances improved the thoughts, the tour also will, and then she has American Horror Story leading up to the album.
I think as long as she drops music before April '16, everything was done right.

I think it was good that they didn't release anything. Kinda refreshing that we actually don't know a thing of the new era. They should keep rebuilding the brand like this & AHS is definitely going to help even if she sucks imo.
