My dad was born in Tepic (Nayarit) but he was raised in Tijuana until he was 6/7. I have family there, Rosarito, and San Diego .

I don't really know how to write Spanish all that well. I can speak Spanish well enough but I definitely have to throw in English words to make up for words I don't know.

And FYI it happens. Our minds are a bilingual dictionary where sometimes we can't find the correct word so we use one in the language we can recall at the moment.

We went to a resort in Nuevo Vallarta and the water was so nice

California beaches suck, they are only famous because of the movies. In reality, they are as cold as ice

I remember in Nuevo Vallarta they had endless drinks and the bartender would ask "con alcohol o sin alcohol?" and I would get non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiris. My little sister went up there, but the guy didn't look up at the patrons because he was too busy taking orders so he asked her con alcohol o sin even though she was like 12. We still laugh at that story.

Yup! That's how I am too!

I'll be talking to Spanish to my Mom and if there's a word I don't know hoe to say in Spanish, I'll replace it with an English word

I've never completed a novela because they too damn long and I never had free time like that. But I've seen episodes from La fea mas bella, Mujer casos de la vida real, Teresa, La Malquerida, y mas. I've been watching one novela on Univision just by chance because I have Univision at night and it comes on, I can't remember the name tho.

Duuuude, I used to watch Maria la del barrio when I was a kid. I loved it Then everybody in my neighborhood found out and I got jumped, abused, and bullied every day by everyone (including some family). I lived in the ghetto during that time. I was only 5

That's ****ed up. When my cousin, my brother and I were kids; we would go to TJ and Rosarito all the time. Some of the store owners would speak in Spanish and try to rip us off, they knew we were from up north (we were born in the US). and since all 3 of us are light skinned they thought we didn't know ****. But our moms made us learn the cotizaciones (money exchange) so that we knew how many pesos amounted to what in American money. We would reply to them in Spanish that we were just going to go to another store where they wouldn't try to rip us off and then they'd try to change their script .
