Cascada may have been in the dance genre first, but they didn't use that style of production used on "Evacuate the Dancefloor" until GaGa came around. It's clear they're trying to copy off of RedOne's best efforts, production-wise. Anyone who can't hear that is deaf.

I don't think Lady GaGa would even have that much fans to be honest. The only reason why she is liked so much is because of her unqiue style (in fashion). I love her music, but if GaGa dressed normally and didn't name herself 'Lady GaGa' so many people would say that she is ripping off Cascada.

True, the production sounds kinda the same but still the song in not pure rip off.

And her whole new album got a new feel to it, not GaGa inspired so I don't think they copy it...But who knows.

Lets not forget that if what she said was true than they recorded ETD around the same time JD was released and we all know it took forever to become a hit so it's not like it had any hype that could make them want to copy it [except for the fact it is an amazing song].

I wouldn't mind if she said that we were unaware of Gaga… but to be so ignorant and say that they recorded before Gaga even started to think about making music. Wtf? Anyway, they may have recorded about a year ago, but production may only have finished recently, so.

I've heard the whole album, and I do enjoy it. But there's no other song with the same kind of production as "Evacuate the Dancefloor" (the song), and there's no coincidence that they made THAT song the first single. They're trying to get another hit in America.

It's the production that's in question. They were doing dance music way before Gaga's debut, but this is a huge step from their normal sound.
Anyway the lead-single is misleading: the rest of the album is exactly the same as their old stuff.

This latest dross from Crapcada is a total rip-off!! Then u wouldn't expect anything else from them!
In the past they've only done cheesy covers, this time they see what's selling (Lady GaGa) & copied it! Like someone said ETD is very different to anything on the album. They've done ETD for PR & to sell more this latest album.

I don't get the attitude of the "singer" (btw did u see it miming on GMTV - check out the video it's so bad it's almost good, lol) saying they had this sound before Lady GaGa. The German Chav needs to get her head out her backside. The only sound Crapcada have is the same backing track they use on all their rubbish covers. I once saw an interview in which she admitted, when given What Hurts The Most she didn't know it was a cover! So much for her knowledge of music!

"We started the album about a year ago and 'Evacuate' was one of the first songs that we recorded when Lady GaGa wasn't even around... but then 'Just Dance' exploded and the **** hit the fan. How were we going to compete when everyone was hailing this girl as the new queen of dance music, though technically she's really more of a straightforward pop artist. We knew we would have to entirely rework the track to sound like a RedOne production if we were going to make our "dance music" appealing to an American audience or have a relevant sound for our European fans. In short, we had to quit bull******** ourselves and admit that that bombastic/hands-up/commercial/so-called German "eurotrance" sound was dated as ****, even when hit big with 'Everytime We Touch'."

That said, I sorta like 'Evacuate the Dancefloor', but I think it'd be silly to try and say this isn't an obvious attempt to replicate the RedOne sound while it's enjoying popularity. There are just too many similarities, both instrumentally and structurally.
