Exactly. And at this point, it's clear that Taylor is the driving force behind her singles, not Max. Style proved this... the songs alone aren't working, she needs mad promo and her star power to keep getting #1s.

It won't matter if Katy's lead single is produced by Dr. Luke/Max or not, if it's a good song it will smash. Katy's name/power + a good song = #1, THAT'S her formula now. I won't deny that in 2010 Katy + Luke + Bonnie was her hit formula, but things have changed. Katy's star has only grown, while Bonnie and Luke have been struggling to get hits as co-writers and producers.

Interesting if she chooses to mold the sound of the industry. However she said that Prism was rushed and she wants to take more time now.
