Sense8 got so many mixed reviews because the critics had only watched the first three episodes. It's not the best show by any means, I didn't like how they delayed the main plot but still the characters are quite likeable. The second half of the season just proves that the show has a great potential.
The only other grudge that I have against this show is the speach of the guy played by the LOST actor - how the sensates couldnt kill people that easily because their sense of empathy was greater than the one that normal humans have, and at the same time Capheus and Wolfgang are murdering everything left and right.

Yeah, I felt like the first few episodes were kinda too slow plot-wise, but I'm glad I stuck it out and watched the entire series because it was great towards the end
