Maleficent doubled it's budget even tho everyone was predicting that it would flop harder than John Carter. Angelina carried the movie on herself alone

The way Janet just threw some slow random R&B song on iTunes and already outpeaked Madonna after the latter hooked up with all the hot producers and popstars and spent months hyping the era with countless magazine covers and big promo slots and videos and radio deals and too many stunts to list
