My understanding is that Hollywood makes the music while Island and Safehouse promote it. Someone else probably has more accurate tea, but it's something like that.
They're a release partner with this album to end her contract with them. She has her own label (Safehouse with Nick Jonas) under Island, and Republic Records handles her promotion and other label stuff for them.

The BITCH saw us counting down all DAY on twitter, and chose to do NOTHING. We stayed UP for this. We certainly won't be waking up early to buy this at the crack of dawn now. We might purchase it a week or two laters when we've caught up on our ZZZs and recovered but most likely NOT boo.

I don't know for sure so don't quote me, but it might be a part of her radio deal. A radio station (or many stations) has the right to the premiere, and then she can put the song on iTunes
just go to sleep and get it in the morning sistrens. She ain't missing no xtra days she'll get 9 days of sales
