where is ''good for you'' ?? it's predicted to sell almost 180.000 sales +music video is out + big views already + good airplay . I think it's going to debut top 10 (if not at least top 15 then)
I put it at 12, but I think they (Alexandro too) forgot about the new song.
@TekkenGuy: Omi will not be a one hit wonder..He is gonna record his second single..a duet with Meghan Trainor soon! and that will bound to smash!
I'm sorry but OMI screams one-hit wonder to me. He's a reggae singer who has a hit with a dance remix of a three year old song. Literally nothing that will hook the GP. There's no buzz around him as an artist and he'll remain another faceless hit maker a la Nico & Vinz and MAGIC!
Rachel will be a lot more successful than him in the long run. She's a female Hot AC singer-songwriter that both the GP and radio will be very welcoming to. Female stars almost always get a second hit easily; for males it's hit-or-miss (and usually miss).
Here are how the 2010s five 10+ week #1s have performed during their time on the Hot 100. Each song’s position for week 32 is underlined and bolded. I have updated "We Found Love," "Blurred Lines," and "Happy" to include each song's entire chart life so I don't have to research and add information to those songs repeatedly.
Also note how On-Demand Streaming started during “We Found Love’s” and affected the song's chart run. Notice how those streams slowed the song’s descent, particularly since sales dropped off rather quickly for that song (off the then 75 position HDS chart just seven weeks after ODS began, but WFL still stayed on Hot 100 ten more weeks after that).
WTD = Weeks To Date, R = Recurrent, W = Week(s). The years provided only include years the songs actually spent weeks at #1, not all of the weeks when the song was on the Hot 100.

Thank you for putting this together! UF!'s longevity never ceases to amaze me.
I'll note that I expect See You Again to drop a little bit faster than the other 10+ week #1's and have a chart life of around 35-40 weeks. In fact, this could be conservative, as it is already down to #10 on iTunes. However, it is still climbing on HAC, urban, and AC, and pulling strong Spotify and YouTube numbers. Regardless of whether it matches the longevity of songs like BL and Happy, it is a surefire classic.

I'm thinking SYA is going to wind up with 30-33 weeks. That's why I think TOL could be #2 for 2015 and SYA #3. The movie is gone and graduation season is over, so its streaming will continue to slide. The song's sales are below 100 k already, but I think it will reach 4 million in sales, and might be the only single from 2015 to do it. Early on many of us thought much higher, but sales fell a lot further and faster than we thought they would.
SYA won't plummet like a Lose Yourself by any means. But I think this upcoming week, its 11th week, will be its last at #1. Then BB moves back in for just one week (it will lead in sales and airplay, and get the streaming boost from Apple Music), and then the week after that Cheerleader/Can't Find My Face takes over the Top 2 spots, but not sure in what order.....
Cheerleader proved ATRL predictions last week..putting it at #5 but Omi prevailed at #4..Can he prove the predictions wrong again for next week and come for the runner up (#2) position ? Here for The Weeknd to be Top 5 as well!

Fast 7 dvd comes out in september and also mtv awards around that time.

I think SYA has 2-3 weeks left at #1 before Cheerleader takes over. Expect Cheerleader/CFMF to hold the top 2 down for most of the summer. I don't see any immediate threats. There's no August blockbuster ("We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," "Roar," "Shake it Off") in sight this year, and I don't see "Fight Song" or "Good for You" or "Watch Me" as threats, so the two will stay cozy for a while.

That's still well within the 30-33 week timeframe. Those will give the song a brief boost, but nothing that lasts for months. Remember, September is just over two months away, and SYA is in its 15th chart week.

I agree those other three aren't real threats. I don't think Worth It or Where Are You Now will reach the Top 10, and I think Honey I'm Good and Hey Mama will probably exit the Top 10 shortly.
I'm interested in seeing if sales and airplay for Shut Up And Dance start falling fast enough that Uptown Funk can actually outlast that song in the Top 10 too. Both songs debuted on the Hot 100 the same week. SUADs has a big lead in airplay but a shrinking lead in sales. Uptown Funk has a huge lead in streaming.
It won't happen next week, but I'd be interested in seeing if it happens by two weeks from now, because as we saw with Earned It and Want To Want Me, when airplay starts dropping, it can really freefall. And Uptown Funk is well past the freefall stage (it never really had one that was too bad anyway, which is why it's outlasted so many songs).

I wonder when & who is the next female chart topper tbh
A week or two ago I would've said Rachel. Now I'm not sure. Probably someone we don't know yet. I think our next female #1 will be by our Carly Rae/Lorde/Meghan breakthrough act of the year..but it won't be Rachel. She'll be this year's Tove Lo.

No female songs look like a threat to top the Hot 100 this summer. We'll likely have to wait until at least September to see if a female artist not named Taylor Swift can score a #1 this year.

I knew the difference between SUAD and Cheerleader was about 1-2 points, so that says something
